Tips to stay safe over the Festive Season!

Make sure your vehicle is safe:

  • Check the tread and condition of the tyres.
  • Keep a spare tyre on hand.
  • Check that your brakes work well.
  • Clean the windows and mirrors and make sure it’s not damaged.
  • Check the water, oil and other liquid levels.
  • Check that all the lights are working.
  • Keep your vehicle license and driver’s license up to date.

Reach your destination safely:

  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Stick to the speed limit.
  • Always wear your seatbelt, especially babies and small children.
  • Take regular breaks to rest and stretch your legs.
  • Always stop in well-lit public places.

Take enough chronic medicine with you!

If you take chronic medicine, make sure you have enough with you while on holiday! Also, make sure you take it exactly as the doctor prescribed!

Where to get your chronic medication!

  • If you order your medication through our Chronic Medication Department, you can either collect it from any of our medical facilities, or it will be couriered to you.
  • PlatFreedom members who opt to use their Pharmacy of Choice, will have to collect their medication from their Pharmacy of Choice or arrange courier services themselves.
